  4. System requirements for the CD-ROM

  6. Minimum configuration: Pentium processor; 640x480 256-color display; Windows 95, 98, NT4 or 2000; 12MB or more of available RAM; 2x CD-ROM drive; and SoundBlaster-compatible sound card with microphone and speakers.

  8. Recommended: Pentium 166MHz or faster processor, 4x CD-ROM drive.

  11. Installation instructions:

  13. 1. Start up Windows and put the Nuevos Destinos CD-ROM into your CD drive.
  14.  
  15. 2. Click the Start button and select Run.
  16.  
  17. 3. Enter the letter of your CD-ROM drive, followed by a colon, followed by \setup.exe at the prompt. For example, if your CD-ROM drive is drive e, then enter e:\setup.exe at the prompt.

  19. 4. Follow the instructions on the screen. If you don't already have QuickTime 3 or later installed on your machine, be sure to run the QuickTime installer when prompted.

  21. Users with slower computers please note: If you encounter performance problems: - Set your monitor to 256 colors. - Video and audio segments may not always play smoothly on your computer. If you have problems with a segment, try clicking again to replay it.

  24. Starting the program

  26. Make sure that the Nuevos Destinos CD-ROM is in your CD-ROM drive and that your computer speakers and microphone are set up properly. (For more information, consult the documentation that came with your computer.)

  28. Click the Start button. Choose Programs and then choose the Nuevos Destinos submenu. In the Nuevos Destinos submenu, choose the Nuevos Destinos program.

  30. Follow the on-screen instructions. If you are unsure what to do on any screen, use on-screen help: - Click ayuda/help on the Main Menu. - Select Ayuda/Help from the opciones menu on any screen.

  33. The Nuevos Destinos CD-ROM is a companion to the Nuevos Destinos video and print materials. You should watch a video episode before beginning the corresponding CD-ROM episode.

  38. The Nuevos Destinos CD-ROM includes a Web_Page folder that contains a page with links to the World Wide Web.

  40. Use your computer's Web browser to open the file Webpage.htm, in the Web_Page folder.
